Refining the Artist – June
This months shoot was done with a family and a few of our own children in downtown historic Grapevine. My goal was to let the principles of design we had been learning in the previous month guide this family shoot. It was a great deal harder than I thought to shoot with such purpose rather than my documentary style.
Here are a few images from the family shoot.
They were a super fun family and it was a great challenge to try and keep my black and white style in a manner that still reflected their playfulness.
I am looking forward to shooting with more intention after this challenge and see how it changes my art. I know it will be for the better!!
Added note: This image I took during the shootout was chosen to hang in a juried gallery in Vermont.
